August was a club day where as usual we all did our own thing, chatting, drinking cups of tea and watching those who were using the lathes we had put out ending up in the afternoon with a speed turning competition. This time it was to be what I thought was a Harry Potter wand, but Hmmm ok The rest of this newsletter is all pictures and captions.
Our next meeting is on Saturday 10th September and we have got Nick Agar with us for the day. Some of you may have seen him at Yandles, if you got near him that is.
Very popular and known around the world we were lucky to get him so don’t miss this opportunity to see him in action.
We were to have had Stuart Mortimer come to us in October but he has got to go in to hospital for surgery so won’t be with us. Matthew has managed to get Mark Baker to take his place
Dawn has finalised the fish and chip lunch details. You have already seen the menu at the last meeting and it will be on Saturday 22nd October.
The cost is £5.50 for fish and chips, £2 for chips only or £4.50 for fish only.
If you want to go the form to add your name to will be out again at the next meeting.
